Italy was great,

We went there with school for a week. We left holland at sunday (the 15th of october 2006 on my birthday). We made a stop at luzern and stayed there in a youth hostel for one night and contineud our trip to italy the next day. We went to pisa before we arived at our hotel in montecatini. The next day we visited Florence, which by the way is an amazing city. We visited the chappel and were free to walk through the city as we liked afterwards. Then the day after that we went to vinci and made stops at some other nice little places aswell. On the last full day we went to florence again and visited all the things we didn't visit the first time. On the day of our departure from italy we went to Lucca which is a small town with nice little buildings.

The things that'll always stay in my mind will be Florence and the last night we were in montecatini and went to an Irish pub. Great place and very nice people there.

In the upcoming days I might upload a few photo's I made over there and tel a little story with it.

Ciao for now.

Agony

...why?

Why does a normal hobby become a screaming source of agony? Maybe because I'm just irritated by other things in my life than the actual hobby, or should I say a pasion in one way or another. I love playing guitar every day. But when it comes to playing fast I just collapse. I can't even manage to do a regular Metallica song. Man some days I can't even play Knocking on heavens door without mistake after mistake (and that's a VERY easy song). It's fucking frustrating. Oh well, I gues it's just me...

I bought a new guitar btw, Ibanez RG350 EX BK. I really like the way it plays, sounds and even looks. Just great. Now back to practice...

Ciao

Whoot metal

Oh YEAH!!!

We went to a Metallica show in The Gelredome in Arnhem. They were subliminal.

We were the FIRST ONES (!!!) to arrive the evening before the concert. half an hour later some other group came and at midnight one other dude came along. The rest of the people came the next morning on the day itself at about 10 o clock. Kind of weird conciddering we thought there would already be people there before us.

We stood at the front during the whole show and saw all band members from up close playing in front of our eyes. Way different than you'dd see on TV.

Some one messed up when they played their 3rd song though :P (a brand new one from the next album BTW). They gave the wrong bass guitar to Robert so when he started to play there wasn't any sound coming from him. The other members soon stopped playing and they appologised. :lmao:

Didn't matter though, great show anyway. They played two new songs and the entire Master of Puppets album in hounor of Cliff.

Also my band and I made up a name for ourselves. I came up with this word and the vocalist and drummer started playing with the spelling of the word.

Am not going to say it here (did before, but the band wanted to keep it a secret for now, before some one steels it).

Unforgotten

Wrote this poem to protest,

They all look away,
Won't see the fighting,
They're all so afraid,
cause we can't denie it,

even though we try it,
war stays the same,
and we don't like it,
war's not a game,
yet we supply it,

I can't understand you,
cause you can't explain,
I can't forgive you,
cause you gave them pain,

They all past away,
but they're not forgotten,
yet you're here to stay,
eventhough inside you're rotten,

most people say,
end what you started,
to you I would say,
don't start in the first place,

is this about money?
is this about pride?
is this what you wanted?
is this what you like?

Drop the weapons,
pick up the stones,
see what happened,
and rebuild their homes...

(Just a little something from me against war. Didn't want it to become a deviation, cause then nobody sees it, figured that it would be seen on my profile page though. By the way: if you read this all, thank you for your attention, I hope the world will be a better place some day).

Hopefully I will be able to submit something interesting soon. Still waiting for payday, need my money to buy me a guitar and maybe even a nice drawing board.

Does anybody have any nice tips on what type of drawing board and brand is/are best? I am totally cleuless on this area, the only thing I know is that at school we have a nice one on which I did some practice rounds. So if anybody had any recomendations please let me know. :)

Thank you.
